We have a problem with an automation.
Our automation cancels a ticket based on a request type and participation in a group. The request Type is selected from the list that can be accessed from the automation.
Within the project we use the English Language and the Dutch language. The automation is made by someone with profile setting Dutch. The selected request Type also had the Dutch description, because it is selected from the list in the automation.
When a user with the English language set in the profile, calls the request type mentioned in the automation, Jira will not execute that automation properly because the request type is different (English description versus Dutch description)
This can be fixed by changing your profile settings to English, then adding the request type in the English language in the automation. In the automation, the same request type is actually called twice now, one in English and one in Dutch.
After the adjustment is the automation working properly
Is this the correct way to set up the automation or is this a bug in Jira?
well, just double the rule and check for dutch in rule1 and english in rule2
Well, that's the same solution like I wrote. That is not answer to the question. I want to know if this inconvenient and cumbersome way , the way to handle or is this a bug which should be solved by Jira When you have, for example, 5 languages, do you need to add 4 extra "rules" (with interim conversion of the language setting in your personal profile) to let it work proparly. I think it should not be the case.
