Hi all,

I am a Jira admin for my organization.
Two of our customers have changed from being "customer" to needing to be part of the Service Desk Team.
I cannot delete them as a customer and this plays up with their "service desk team" permissions.
I cannot delete them from "Customers" in the project (I don't see the little bin) and they do not show up when looking under Admin > Jira Service Management > Portal customer...

Did this happened to someone else and how did you resolve it. Ideally I would like to avoid deleting their account entirely and then reinviting them as they are across several projects.

You want to migrate the customer to an Atlassian Account and then give them the appropriate access to your project(s).

  1. Click the gear in the upper-right and select User Management
  2. Select Jira Service Management from the menu on the left.
  3. Find the customer that's becoming an agent, select the 3 dot menu to the right, and choose Migrate to Atlassian account.
  4. Give them access to the Atlassian product(s) they need.
  5. Give them access to the project(s) they need.

If you've already created the agent account (and now have two accounts), for step 3, select Merge Atlassian Accounts instead.
