Can I embed widgets into Jira

Jess Katz April 9, 2025

I am implementing a new software platform called Document360. Can I embed their widget into Jira? Use Case: Our Support Team uses Jira for customer support tickets and I want them to be able to browse Document360 while they are in Jira.  Document360 has documentation on their widget, but they said I need to check with Jira if Jira enables widgets to be embedded.

Hello @Jess Katz,

I am assuming you use Jira Cloud and not DC; and it is not natively possible to do so in Jira Cloud.

So to embed the Document360 widget into Jira Cloud, you have a few options:

1. If feasible, you can develop a custom app using Atlassian Connect to embed the Document360 widget directly into Jira’s UI.

2. Use third-party tools like Zapier or similar platforms to integrate workflows between Jira and Document360. This allows seamless data exchange but does not embed the widget directly into Jira. (I am not affiliated with Zapier and am not their customer either)

3. Or via, external embedding. You can create a shared external workspace (e.g., an intranet page) where both Jira and the Document360 widget can coexist.

If embedding directly into Jira is critical, developing a custom app is the most integrated solution. For simpler setups, automation tools or external embedding can help achieve your use case effectively.

Hope this helps. Thanks!
