Cannot create a new project in a new instance

I have just signed up for a new free instance of Jira Service Management. After the site was created I am presented with a page that says "Welcome to Jira Service Management" and a single "Create project" button. When I click this the whole page goes white and nothing happens. When I refresh the page it just goes back to the original welcome page with the button. It does not fill one with confidence in the tool. Does anyone know why it is doing this or what I can do to resolve it?

I have seen this before and users had to clear their browsers cache and that seemed to fix the issue.

@Reinhardt Moller what you describe is of course not the intended behaviour. I suspect something must have gone wrong with your instance's set up. The best way to get it addressed is to reach out to Atlassian support.

Thanks for the quick reply. I also also signed up for Confluence, and from the Confluence page I was able to jump to Service Management and  create a project so that's one way around it :)
