I created a Jira JSM customer portal and set permissions for the JSM customer portal and Confluence to have anonymous access. However, in a general browser, a "Something bad happened" message appears, but in a private (or Incognito) browser, the content set to anonymous is displayed normally. Why is this happening, and do I need something configured in the JSM?

If incognito works.
Then there could be an issue related to cookies and cache or browser extensions that you might have in use.
Clear cache and cookies and/or disable browser extensions.

If it works in incognito I would suspect it might be an cache or session related error. Clearing cache and cookies in your browser might resolve that error message
