Hello :)
I'm not sure if the description captures exactly what I need to do, but I'll try to describe it somehow neatly.
I've created custom cascade (dropdown) field with Building and Tenants, for every building there is a list of available tenants - simple.
But now, based on the values from the cascade parent field (building) I would like to change some fields in the form.
We select Building1, based on this selection we change the value:
Once we select a building, the list of tenants is limited, we select a tenant/client from this list and based on this selection, say TenantA and I would like to change additionally another fields in the form:
I know I could do this with automation and a huge ELSE IF list, but I would like to know if there is a better/faster/smarter method for this.
Hi Marcin,
For Jira Cloud you ca do it with Automation for Jira but this means you will have a lot o branches and I don't think this is what you are looking for.
I don't think is possible to use an external mapping table in order to exclude all the conditions from automation.
Hope this helps.
Hello,
thanks for the reply.
It is Jira Service (cloud) indeed. Automation is going to be loooong, I'm not even sure if its possible to cover all of this (tenants) in one rule
