Hello Atlassian community,
We need to track about 1000+ laptops + VMs for inventory purposes and be able to keep track of machines that will be e-wasted/taken offline as well. We looked at Insight and the whole configuring a server to repeatedly scan your internal network is not going to work for us.
We came from Fresh Service and they had a super easy discovery agent exe that you installed on your machines and would send data to FS on its own. It was basic but it worked well.
Is there any type of plugin that anyone found that is agent based and connects with Jira? Even if it doesn't tie into Jira I would be interested to see what others are using for computer asset management, inventory and tracking
Thanks,.

the solution STAGIL Assets allows to integrate with any discovery tool based on regular Jira API, Jira Script Solutions and SQL synchronizers.
There are multiple comparisons available about best free monitoring solutions in the web.

@Earl Crawford Welcome to the Atlassian community
Did you take a look at marketplace https://marketplace.atlassian.com/search?hosting=cloud&product=jira-service-management&query=asset There are a lot of different asset management apps that integrate with Jira Service Management there.

Hi Brant,
I definitely did take a look.
I guess I was wondering what other organizations that are not using Insights are using. When we add new vendors or software to our organization the process for the security team to clear it can take a considerable amount of time. So I was literally hoping to hear some success stories on proven platforms as guidance. Thanks for the reply!
