Dear Community,
Imagine you have a Christmas wishlist. What would be on that list in terms of configuration and Assets management? I am interested in your most wanted feature requests or capabilities based on certain use cases. Please let me know.
Kind regards,
Onder
The question is a bit to general/generic. Are you asking what are the topic functionality that we wanted for JSM and also Assets Management component? There are many that depend on what you are trying to resolve.
Here are a few...
If it is for JSM -
1) The ability to add more custom fields/fields for the portal UI request list screen. Currently, it only allows a define set of fields that admin can include for the customers in the UI
If it is for Assets Management -
1) Continuous enhancements of the REST API
2) The ability to copy schema configuration between non-prod and prod envs in the CLOUD env.
Hope this helps.

I was purely interested in Asset management, not JSM specifically, and in that regard, your answer makes a lot of sense. Many thanks for your insightful response.

@Onder Ozcan My wish list is in the cloud:

@Onder Ozcan - could really use some doc if you have it on Cloud discovery agents for non-windows machines. Like so many, we use Linux based virtuals.
We're having trouble believing there isn't an agent for this. All we find our exe for windows and assume we must be looking in the right place. Under a hard deadline here for this. Can you point us in the right direction?
Thanks in advance.

Enhancement suggestions for Insight Asset Management:
Ability to enter multiple assets at once. For example, if I order 20 computers, it would be ideal to either take a simple excel import of the data, or somehow define a quantity upon entry. As it functions today, I have to enter one asset and its associated attributes, and clone that asset 19 more times. Maybe even the ability when cloning to enter a quantity of clones. Prior system I used had an excel add-on that I used to import the data.
Basic Purchase Order module. Our current PO tool is standalone, doesn't integrate with any systems. The PO number is entered across many platforms (it is entered in the Jira Purchase Request ticket, it's an attribute in the Insight asset object, Insight contract object, and our Invoice processing system (Workday). There would be a lot of value to link these objects and projects with a purchase order reference. I tried to build out a schema, but the inability to perform calculations on the attributes and print output of the screen steered me away from exploring further.

Hej Jodi,
You can already do bulk imports on Cloud today from CSV (Excel).
Check out the related documentation: https://support.atlassian.com/jira-service-management-cloud/docs/import-objects-into-asset-in-jira-service-management/
