Confluence showing unpublished pages on knowledge base portal when using JSM

We are using :

Jira Service Management DC 4.20.17

Atlassian Confluence DC 7.13.13

Comala Publishing 2.15.5

Comala Document Management 6.16.14

when we go into our confluence knowledge base space with anonymous access set on read and comment, we can only see publsihed pages, when we go through the JSM portal to the knowledge space we seem to be able to see the draft / unpublsihed pages as well is this some permission we are failing to change or is this normal behaviour?

I'm the Product Marketing Manager for the Comala products at Appfire. I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing this. This may be because of the same space publishing feature you may have configured in Comala Document Management. Without seeing your CDM configurations, I can't say that this is what's going on. I suggest reaching out to our support team to confirm that this is something one of our products is causing.

This is expected behaviour as Jira Service Management has its own set of permissions and may allow access to unpublished pages depending on the configuration.

Check the permissions in the JSM project settings under "Customer permissions" and "Portal access".

Make sure that you have restricted access to unpublished pages by adjusting these settings.

You can also check the permissions in the Confluence space by going to Space Settings > Permissions and making sure that anonymous users do not have access to view unpublished pages.

Thank you Oday, but doesn't really answer my question satisfactorily, Confluence space is definitely set how we would want it in this respect ie anonymous access on (but set to show only published pages). We can see no permissions  in JSM that then opens that up to see draft / unpublished pages.
