Hello,
For the last week, I'm blocked from trying to set an automation rule to copy the comment on linked ticket:
I have a first project (Name: A) I set a rule to create a ticket on our project Support by linking it automatically.
But now I want when I comment to the ticket on the Support Project it will automatically comment the ticket on the project A.
Best Regards,
For a question like this, context is important for the community to help. Please post the following:
Until we see those...
For your rule which copies the Comment, what is the scope of the rule in the details at the top: single-project, multiple-project, or global?
While a single-project scope rule can create (or clone) issues into another project, it cannot access or update the other projects in any way.
Your rule would need multiple-project scope, and your Site Admin will need to help make that change in the global automation settings.
Kind regards,
Bill
Please try to stay within one thread when responding. That will help others reading this question in the future know if there are multiple possible solutions. Thanks!
Without seeing your rule, it is difficult to know what did (or did not) work. I recommend re-creating it and testing again.
From what you described, I still believe the problem was a missing branch and that the rule scope was incorrect.
