Hi,
I have created a custom field that is shared between different projects and screens and has different context values. This means that the Reporting Type field has different values in other projects. I suspect this may be why the custom field does not appear as part of the form when I create a Jira ticket via Slack.
Is this an existing issue? Is there anything I can do to solve this blocker?

By looking at other threads custom fields were not yet supported back in 2020 but the documentation does not specifically says custom fields are not allowed. This feature request tells us there is a limitation on the number of fields slack allows https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/API-157 They do not mention what the limited number of fields are though...
I would have tested to limit the create screen in the project to issuetype, summary, description and your custom field, waited a while and see if it had any effect.
