Custom Field not saving on Request Type

Hi,

This is the first time experiencing this for a field.

I have a custom field called "Issue Category" which I am trying to add tot he Request Type and every time I add the field and make it mandatory or even not mandatory, and after I click "Save", the field does not save on the Request Form.

It goes back to the fields section.

The field does not show it only set to the "issue view" and the field is on the appropriate screens as well so I am unsure why this would happen or what could be the cause.

Hi @Drishti Maharaj

Welcome to Atlassian Community!

Please drag and drop the field under description field, save it and check if it appears in issue view screen.

Hi, that is the "Issue View" though.

I want to be able to have the field visible on the Request Form so that a customer sees it when logging a request.

If I save changes with the field on the Issue View, it does not still allow me to have that field on the Request Form.

Hi @Drishti Maharaj

Adding the field in request form is sufficient to get that reflected in the customer portal when user select that request type.

Kindly share the request form and customer portal form to guide you further identifying the issue?

Thanks,

Tejaswini

Hi,

Yes, I am trying to add the field to the Request Form but my issue is that whenever I drag the field to the Request Form and click "Save Changes", the field does not save on the Request Form.

It goes back to the "Fields" and does not stay on the Request Form when saving.

So that is the problem. And I'm unsure as to why this one specific field could not be working right.

All other fields save on the Request Form as they should.

Hi @Drishti Maharaj

please check if the field is present in create issue screen.

Also find the below link which might help you to resolve this issue-
