Custom Fields - change from Text multi line to paragraph

Is there a way to switch a custom field from text multi-line to paragraph, or do I have to recreate the custom field?

Hi @Mary Kable 

Unfortunately it's not possible to change the type of a custom field, you'll need to create a new one. I'd also recommend not using the same name for the new field, unless you delete the original one, as it can cause confussion in the future.

Hi Mary,

Multi-line text and Paragraph in Jira are the same thing. It's the same field type just with a name change.
