A large portion of our user base has multiple email addresses that they use to send from.
example:
John.Smith@company1.com
John.Smith@company2.com
We also utilize SSO so John smith logs into Jira as John.Smith@company1.com
The problem is that if someone assigned John Smith a task, or if John Smith responds to a ticket with John.Smith@company2.com, Jira does not recognize it as the same person. This causes massive confusion.
Has anyone figured out a way to associate 2 email addresses with 1 Jira customer/user?
@Josh Noren We are also experiencing a similar issue in our organization. When I was checking, I couldn't find a solution and found that there is an open feature request with Atlassian regarding this.
Thanks Vignesh. I was hoping someone found a semi-useable workaround. Maybe using automation or something, but doesn't seem like it. We'll all suffer together :-)
