Hello, we are doing a POC with Jira Service Management. We have already Confluence in use. To use JSM would be a great fit, with a lot of benefits but the option to provide software download via the portal is a go/no go decision for JSM. The download size is +/- 600 MB and we have 10 different installation files. (ZIP files that contain PDF, Excel, MSI and EXE)
I think this is not only a problem which we have.
Does someone have a solution? I could also be a external solution were JSM could be integrated
I found a community entry from 2017 . At this time no solution was available.
Hello @Sven Pallarz
Confluence has an upload size limit of 100MB which is to little for your use case. However, you can link to other sources within a Confluence page.
My solution would be to host the files externally, create a Download Confluence page with links to the externally hosted files and make that page available in the customer portal.
Is that something that might work for you?
THX Paul, to be honest not really. I found also the possibility to share the links for download in the portal via announcement, but this and your proposal are workarrounds no final solution. I know that there is noting available from Atlassian and not from marketplace vendors.
I cannot imagine that we are the only one having such a requirement. So I was hoping that someone would tell me:" Here is a external solution available where you can embed the JIRA portal and you have a download area.
For us the portal is not only a self service for issues and bugs . It should also cover the knowledgebase and also the download area.

At the moment we use Salesforce Service Cloud, which has such a solution, but regarding ITIL topics, like SLA, Problem, Asset,... - Management it´s much weaker than Jira SM. The knowledge base compared with the options of Jira+Confluence is much weaker.
