So when I want to share a ticket with another team, I have a to clone the ticket to another project so the other team can check and work on it on that project from the cloned ticket.
During the duplication, the fields are not updated in the new project.
The thing is that I have a couple of request types and issue types so each ticket has a different custom field.
question:
1- Do I need to create an automation for each request type and based on those fields clone them?
2- or there is a way to check if the fields are updated to clone them automatically
If the custom fields mapping is different in each request type, you will need to have separate automation rules to set them or have a single automation with conditionals.
If you want to clone with no additional automation step, you need to make sure that your fields and request types are the same on both Jira projects.
