Hello,
Currently we're using jira service management with free plan. For some reason we receive such messages all the time: "Email notifications are off until next day. You've sent the maximum number of notifications in 1 day for your plan. This limitation will be removed when you move to Standard/Premium (paid) plan after your evaluation period."
For a while we used the standard plan, but now we have just 3 agents, and because of this we have switched back to free plan. I don't know if this can be an influencing factor.
As i know the free plan provides us 100 email notifications (we're not even close for this!) and unlimited alert email notifications per day. So what could be the reason for this situation?
I believe, that the 100 notification limit per day is the main reason for you to get the warning.
It is good to know that Jira has two types of notification, Jira Notification and JSM Notification.
From your description, I believe you are referring to the latter.
If you would like to remain in the Free plan, I would suggest reviewing the Jira Notification setting and minimizing the number of notifications.
Other than that, there is a @mention notification as well whenever someone mentions your name in a Jira ticket. However, there is no global setting to turn off that notification. Each of your Jira users must turn off the notification from their Jira Personal Setting.
Thank you,
Marini
