Hi,
I have two users configured and fully functional with access to my project. One user is me with my direct email address and the other is a user that has an email address that is a mailbox that multiple delegates can access . Both users can access the project and tickets without a problem.
I then have a group set up with two members as described above.
A notification schema has been configured that has certain events trigging notifications to be sent the the group.
I receive all the notifications I expect however the second user, with the distribution group email address does not.
Does anyone know why this might be a problem?
I have solved my problem, however I am still puzzled why I had one.
When I created the users I did add the second user as a Service Desk Team member to the project. On checking all I had done I have just noticed that despite the user having a valid email address for some reason its was not listed against them in the list of project people. I clicked on the Roles and temporarily gave them Administration access, their email address appeared and I revoked the Administration rights.
This appears to have solved the problem. the whole issue would appear to be that despite all things being valid for some reason assigning the user as a person against the project to being with did not bring their email address forward.
Odd and frustrating but something I ought to have seen to begin with, if their was no email address how could emails be sent
