From our success factors application we get a mail when a new employee is hired.
With email-this-issue we create onboard tickets for each of these mails we receive.
This works very fine but...
Now I have added a new custom field called 'LinkedIn Learning".
When we receive a mail from Success Factors we try to add the content of LinkedIn Learning field on the mail to the field "LinkedIn Learning" using "Create Issue"/"Set field value" in the mail handler rules and actions.
But when I try to do so I don't find any field called like this, although it is clearly created and added to the necessary request types.
What can be the cause here?
Hi stefaan.verkest@bekaertdeslee.com ,
I'm from the Email This Issue support team at META-INF and I'll do my best to assist with your question.
Based on your screenshots it appears that you are trying to set a Number field, but unfortunately number fields are currently not supported for the set issue field action of the Email This Issue Mail Handlers.
As a workaround you could configure the Mail Handler to save the number into a text field instead , but I have also consulted with the engineering team. Please note that I cannot give any estimates of when it would enter development or when it would be released, but we have logged a feature request for implementing the number field support.
For further details about the Set field value action of the Email This Issue for Jira Cloud Mail Handlers, please check the following document, here: Setting Field Values
But I'll also list out the currently supported fields here
In this context the currently supported Jira fields are:
And the supported Custom fields are
I hope this helps, but if you have any further questions or doubts then please let me know, or contact us on our support portal or support email address.

Hello @Istvan Ascarza
I opted for the work around with an alphanumeric field type.
This works nicely.
Thanks for the help.

stefaan.verkest@bekaertdeslee.com ,
What would be the type of the LinkedIn Learning field?
Possibly the data cannot be mapped to it so it filters it out. Any screenshots of your setup could also be helpfull!
