Export CSAT report to excel or pbi

Anna Queen January 28, 2025

We have a csat report for our jsm service and I would like to export this data to manipulate it in powerbi, is there a way that I can export the whole information to excel or something?

Hi @Anna Queen at this time there isn't a mechanism in the base product to export the CSAT report. You found JSDCLOUD-4749 entered on Atlassian's Jira site to add this functionality.  If you haven't already, I would suggest voting for it and watching it.

There may be some third party add on that might work for you, but I'm unfamiliar with any.

Hope that helps.

Hi @Anna Queen

if you're open to solutions from the Atlassian Marketplace, you may want to have a look at the app that my team and I are working on: JXL for Jira.

JXL is a full-fledged spreadsheet/table view for your issues that allows viewing, inline-editing, sorting, and filtering by all your issue fields, much like you’d do in e.g. Excel or Google Sheets. It also comes with

  • a long list of so-called smart columns that aren’t natively available, including the satisfaction rating, the date of satisfaction rating, the satisfaction comment, and many, many more, and
  • a range of advanced features, including issue grouping by any issue field(s) and sum-ups.

With these, you can build satisfaction reports like e.g. this in just a couple of clicks:

satisfaction-sum-up.gif

This is really just one of a virtually endless number of possible views and reports; you can also view and group by any other issue fields, configure different sum-up styles, etc. etc.

Of course, you can always export your data to Excel or CSV in just two clicks.

Any questions just let me know,

Best,

Hannes

Hi @Anna Queen ,

You can do this easily with our Excel Online Integration app from the Atlassian Marketplace. Once it is installed, select Filters > View All Issues then filter down to the JSM Project/issues you want to include. Then on the Issue list go to Apps > Excel Online and  search and select the Satisfaction field (drag&drop to Select Columns or click on the + button), see screenshot below. Click download and you have an xlsx file that includes the CSAT field.

Hope that helps.

Martin
