We always answer back to our customers, but it seems that since we have upgraded our version by default when we initiate the "Respond to customer" workflow, the value by default is internal comment instead of respond to customer. How can we change that?

We just got hit by it as well:
I'm not a fan as this will cause chaos and lost communication for us.
I think there is an option for individuals to default it to public comment.

We're talking about JSM cloud right? I know Atlassian changed this sometime in December but I'm not sure if there official announcement related to that.
If we're talking about cloud, unfortunately, you cannot modify this and 'return it to previous state' (as far as I know).
