How can I test a Jira Widget

I'm currently trying to set up a widget within my JSM project and would like to try it.

What would be the best approach after having cut the embedded code ?

You would want to establish a sandbox env to test our your implementation first.  However, what are you trying to do - "a widget" (custom developed) to your JSM project UI?
