How can I declutter my Jira Service Management project for IT Help Desk - ie: removing the unused apps / app icons from the left side bar, the right side bar (Customer Details area), inside the ticket, etc? Other JSM teams use these apps; however, I want a clean space for my help desk agents. Thank you for any help!
As mentioned by @Mark Anderson app are usually not removable as they are instance wide or the app has to have admin option to define on which project it can be used.
Option in a JSM project are handled by the feature option in the project settings, but be very sure turning of a feature, you will have to make sure you don't use any of it's functionality.
If other teams in the same jira instance are using the apps there's no way to hide/remove them as far as i know.

Hi @Sarah Champion , thanks for your post.
It depends on what you mean, would you be able to share an anonymised screenshot?
If you're not using some of these things, to the left
it should be possible to switch off some of the features of the JSM project here https://yourinstance.atlassian.net/jira/servicedesk/projects/PKEY/settings/itsm-features
If you are seeing other things, like Figma, again, it should be possible, if you are a product admin, to uninstall these apps (if they aren't used) here https://yourinstance.atlassian.net/plugins/servlet/upm
Does that help you at all?
Best wishes

Are you asking about Marketplace apps? It depends on app' configuration. Very often apps have got their configuration which allows you hide them from different places in Jira or define who should see them. In this case, I recommend you to contact vendors from these app and ask them how you can do it.
