We use the JSM with the option for our customers to register a new account if their email-domain is on our whitelist.

The default language of the service project is German with English as a secondary language.

When customers register their account, the language in their profile defaults to English, even when the browser and the OS are both set to German.

Is there a way to change the default language of our new created customer accounts?

Hi @Lars Iberl

Welcome to the community.

The main language on the system is still set on english.

Change this in the Jira system settings.

Thanks for the swift answer!

So the Jira main language is responsible for the Jira Service Management language as well?

Is this the correct setting?

Hi @Lars Iberl

Yes, this the setting, this setting controls the global Jira language.

this will set the whole instance to German (not everything will be translatable)
