we are using Jira service management. When an issue is resolved/closed the commentsection in the issue is disabled. Hence the customer is still able to send an emailrespons and if they respond in the closed issue it will generate an additional issue with and ID-number witch we don´t want.
Do you have any tips so that responses in closed issues will not get a new issuenumber?

To prevent users from commenting on a closed ticket, you need to add the property "jira.permission.comment.denied=true" to the Closed status of your workflow.
