In the Jira service management portal, I have a custom field and based on the selection of this custom field, I wish to display the choices related to the previous selection in another custom field. I was going through "How to use Insight custom field to dynamically filter a Jira custom field | Jira | Atlassian Documentation" But I am unable to apply it in my situation. Can anyone please help me out here?
TIA
Welcome to the community!
You can try using Forms in Jira Service Management
Forms can use conditional logic to show or hide fields dynamically and can include headings, field validation, tables, and rich formatting. Include all the fields you need in one form, without asking your Jira admin to create custom fields or reconfigure request types.
Hope this helps
Best regards
Sam
Hi @Samuel Gatica _ServiceRocket_ ,
Thank you for your prompt reply, however, I don't want to conditionally display a field, rather, I wish to control what to show in the field based upon the selection made in a previous field. For instance, In the previous field if I select the name 'X', in the next field, I wish to display the values related X, and if I make a selection 'Y', in the next field I wish to display the values related to Y. I read something about insight custom fields and object schemas, but I am unable to use them in my case.
TIA

Unfortunately, JSM does not have a native feature for that.
Take a look at this plugin Extension for Jira Service Management
