Hi all,
Is there a way to identify group usage in Jira Cloud?
I need to find out which projects had been assigned to a group.
I've try the advanced filter, but it will pick a user of the group and start the scan because the JQL of that advanced filter is "assignee in (membersOf("A-GROUP")) order by created DESC".
Thank you all of you!
Hello @Tri Dung TRAN,
Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
I saw that you created a ticket with our support related to the same question and they shared with you a feature request since it’s currently not possible to view group usage in Jira.
I’m sharing these details here in case other community members have the same question.
Kind regards,
Angélica
Dear @Angélica Luz , so we should hope this feature will be added in the future.
Best regards,
Dung Tran

Yet another important missing feature. Let's go Atlassian, time to start correctly your poor deployment of Jira Cloud.

Hi @Tri Dung TRAN - like you, we've wanted a way to find out what projects are associated to a group in Jira Cloud.
We created a Jira Cloud app that helps you find usages of groups in your Jira cloud instance. The app searches for group usage across many objects in Jira, but for your use case - in particular - you can use the app to view the projects that are associated to your group:
The app looks for projects associated to a group via Project Role, Custom Field, Permission Scheme, Issue Security Scheme, Notification Scheme, and Workflow relations. You can drill down into those particular child objects to see what exactly is creating the relationship to a project.
The app is called Lens Group Debugger for Jira, and you can find it here: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/1236381
Try the app out, and let us know what you think. Thanks!

This was finally introduced in Confluence Cloud recently, hopefully Jira Cloud is next.
Still something I would really like to have.

Hi Michiel, where is this introduced in Confluence Cloud? https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-79670 still seems to be gathering interest
