We know that CAPTCHA can be enabled but this is only for those who are creating an account. But in our case, we don't need the user to make an account. So requirements are:
- User will not create an account.
- User will only input their email address and their concern in the form.
- CAPTCHA is needed in the form above the Submit button to prevent spam accounts.
Is this possible on JIRA Cloud?
Hello @Patricia Sium,
Welcome to Atlassian Community!
On Jira Service Desk Cloud, currently, it's not possible to enable or disable Captcha for issues created on a login-free portal.
Actually, the portal already uses Google's invisible captcha, so if Google checks that the email account is not a bot, it will not show the captcha.
There is a feature request suggesting the implementation of the ability for administrators to control that:
Please, click on vote and watch to receive updates about the feature.

It seems that the portal triggers reCAPTCHA during user registration, and when logging tickets:
The related backlog tickets remain open
JSDCLOUD-8217 Provide ability to turn on and off captcha in Customer Portal
JSDCLOUD-11177 Allow administrators to disable RECAPTCHA for specific customers
At present it seems the only workaround for JSM customers is to contact Atlassian.
Does anyone know if reCAPTCHA is still used for invite-only portals?
Cheers,
Dwight
