How to setup alerts / notifications on my JSM (or profile, I'm not admin) based on a ticket field?

Christopher Carvalho October 24, 2024

I'd like to know if there is a way to setup notifications, either through native JSM features or third-party apps, where I can be notified whenever tickets reach a specific value for a field.

In my case, I'd like to set it based on "Time for first response".

This field starts with 48h per default, and the value of the field decreases from 48:00 to 0:00, or negative, until the ticket is responded to.

For efficiency, we would like to set alarms when a ticket has elapsed 12 hours (decreased from starter 48h to 36h) or simply when it reaches 36h without first response.

Additionally, if the above is possible, is it possible to somehow bind the alerts to software such as Slack? It'd be great if we could also receive the notifications on a Slack channel whenever the threshold is met.

Is it possible? Thanks in advance!
Thanks!

Hi @Christopher Carvalho

You can use this video tutorial to help you with the SLA breached triggers: https://youtu.be/xxd0BxkZl5c?si=Ba1lPDGosEhpECe-

Instead of sending an email you can send a slack notification: https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/automation-template-library/send-slack
