Importing Azure AD user attributes to Jira Custom Fields

Hey Everyone, 

Has anyone successfully implemented importing Azure AD user attributes to custom field without an Add-on. We are looking to setup couple of automations based on user attributes like Manager, Department, Country, Location. These values are synced to Jira from Azure, but we can't seems to have an option to use the user attributes in automation?

Automations we are looking to setup are:

• Approval to Manager.
• Set SLA based on user location/country
• Department

As @Dan.Tombs mentioned, this type of functionality is not yet available natively on Atlassian platforms. For this reason, some players in the Marketplace ecosystem have developed complementary solutions to help with this type of use case and scenarios.

I understand that it is not always feasible to add more plugins or pay more for certain features when they should be native. 

However, if you allow me to present one of these options available on the Marketplace, my recommendation is Mindpro Sync - User Attributes (OKTA, Azure AD & OneLogin)

Have you looked at using a marketplace app that can handle this for you. There are some good ones on the marketplace that will then allow you to search using JQL against things like this so it is all still useful information.
