Howdy! I realize that Jira doesn't always handle HTML well but:
Clearly Jira is struggling with the HTML formatting and has stripped out the URL to the verification link that I need to click.
Any method for retaining all HTML formats and prevent Jira from stripping out content? I normally would not need HTML for most incoming requests.
Thank you for any advice.
Cheers.
Hello Jason,
Thank you for reaching out to Atlassian Community!
When the email contains HTML tables, it won't be rendered correctly in the description field.
It's possible to change the renderer of the field to plain text (Classic projects only), but the description would be messy anyway.
There is a feature request suggesting the implementation of this ability:

Hi,
Our team is not able to use Jira Service Management for THIS REASON. Until this issue is resolved we cannot adopt Jira Service Management. Our primary channel to get issues reported is incoming email that contains table with the details in a prescribed format. That is the KEY information and if that gets stripped then it's not much of use.
Thanks,
