Is it possible when a customer adds an email address to a required field that the person whose email has been added can be sent an email notification letting them know? How would I set this up?
Yes, it is possible, you can do that using Automation rule.
Navigate to your project settings and select Automation from the lefthand menu. Click on Create Rule and choose the appropriate event trigger, such as Issue created or Issue updated.
And then Specify a condition that checks if the email address field has been updated.
When you say form, are you talking about the Request Form or the Form that allows you to add dynamic forms to the request? It if is the request form then all you would have to do is use that field in an automation to send the email. If it is Form then you would have to map that field to a Jira field and then do the same thing in the automation as above.
