We are trying to see if we can update holidays in the custom date fields in the customer portal so the customers are notified of the holidays before they can submit the ticket or choose the date? Is it possible to update holidays like we do in the SLA calendar and not as a portal announcement?

Hi @John Jos and welcome to the Community! Adding announcement banners for this would work. @Harrison Ponce also makes a good point about checking for a Marketplace app, if an announcement banner doesn't exactly fit your needs.

You can send custom emails to users (Settings - System - send email), where you can choose the project, groups or roles.
An option would be sent an email to notify users before of the holidays.
But it is totally a manual process.

We're aware of the announcement and did not want to go for another plugin but wanted to see if there is some kind of workaround. We will do it manually in the portal.
