Issues not appearing in Main Board

Fabiano Santana December 4, 2023

Hi team.

I just created a new board in Jira (Service Project).

When I go to the main board, I can see only a few issues.

But when I go to Incidents / Resolved incidents, I can see all issues.

I just reviewed the workflow, dashboard columns, etc, and everything looks good.

The issues are disappearing from the board after around 3 or 4 days.

I saw some tips on internet to check the Filter options in the board, but when I click on Configure Board, I cannot see any filter, I can see only the option columns.

Reminder, this is a Service Project.

Thank you.

Hi @Fabiano Santana ,

In Jira Service Management, the visibility of issues on boards is often controlled by the underlying filters. If issues are disappearing from the board after a few days, it's likely due to the filter criteria that define which issues are displayed.

  • Verify the JQL used in the filter to ensure it includes the issues you want to see. It might have a condition like status = "Open" that could exclude resolved incidents after a certain time.
  • Ensure that the columns on your board are set up to display all relevant statuses, including resolved incidents. If the columns are restricted to certain statuses, resolved incidents might not appear.
  • If you can't find the filter when clicking on "Configure Board," try accessing the board settings from the Jira administration menu or by going directly to the board settings from the board itself

Bhushan

Hi @BHUSHAN PATIL . The columns are OK, I just checked. I cannot find any filter for the board. Attached some images.

And there is no Board Settings under Project Settings.

Hi @Fabiano Santana ,

Let's try an alternative route to check the filter:
Go to your board, then select more (...) > Configure Board
On the Board Configuration screen, Look for 'General' or 'Filter' tabs
In the General tab: To change the filter's JQL query, click Edit Filter Query.

For details steps please refer following documents.

I cannot see these options @BHUSHAN PATIL ... Attached the screen shot again... There is no General tab, there is no Filter tabs...

I am the owner of the board, and I have admin privileges.

Yeah, filters are not available in Jira Service Management boards yet. I have the same issue, issues in status category To Do or Done are not showing - it seems like a bug, I'm going to create a support ticket.
