I used to work at a company that had a field where developers could enter what they did to fix the issue. This was a different field than the "Comments" field. At the company that I'm currently at, I can't find this field. Does that mean that my old company had probably added a custom field for this? We really don't want the fix description to be included with all the comments.
Can someone please help me?

You can create a new custom field may be as "Resolution Comments". Add that field to an issue edit screen and that should do the magic !
