Hello,
I’m writing to request assistance with a user access issue on Jira.
A user named Adrien Le Divénah has been added to the project Demande N2, and he appears correctly in the project settings. However, when we try to assign him to a ticket, we receive an error message, as if he cannot be selected as an assignee.
This might be due to a missing permission or configuration on his account. Unfortunately, I do not have admin rights to investigate further.
Could you please check the configuration for this user and update any missing permissions so he can be assigned to issues?
Thank you in advance for your support.
Best regards,
Adrien Lesueur

Hi, @Adrien Lesueur
Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
In Jira Service Management projects, simply adding a user to the People section of a project isn't enough. The user must also have agent access to Jira Service Management in order to access and work with the project. Only user with administration permissions, can grant such access in Administation portal of Atlassian.
Hello @Adrien Lesueur
This means that the user is not in the "assignable" permission.
Check the permission scheme of the project and see which roles/groups has access to be assignable.

If you’re unable to assign issues to Adrien, it’s likely due to missing permissions or application access. Since these settings are managed at the project or site level, you'll need to contact your project admin or site/org admin to:
Only an admin in your organization can make these changes.

Hi @Adrien Lesueur , welcome to the community!
Depending on the project type—company-managed or team-managed—either your Jira Admin (for company-managed projects) or Project Admin (for team-managed projects) should be able to assist you.
To resolve this, ensure the specified user has both “Browse Projects” and “Assignable User” permissions in your current project.
Thanks,
Aditya
