Hello community,
Today one of our Service Desk Team members using the New JIRA Issue View feature noted that the Channel field is not showing when they view a service desk issue.
When they delved into Configure to select the field, it was not available. The screen says "No hidden fields. All available fields are visible in the issue view".
Have others noticed this? Is anybody aware of an issue already in Atlassian's backlog about it?

The location and display of the request channel has changed in the new issue view.
This information is now available as part of the request details panel (alongside the name of the customer who raised the request):
