Jira Service Management DC with JIRA DC on EKS cluster

I am currently running Jira DC on a EKS cluster and wondering what are the options for Service Management DC.  Is this something that can run on a eks cluster with JIRA or would this need to be installed separately on a ec2?  Would love to understand my options and best practices.  Would love to hear how others maybe implementing something in a similar environment.

Service Management is actually a service you install inside of Jira.  So it does not require a separate environment or servers to get up and running.
