Any idea if Jira Service Management has data residency in SG and if it is hosted in SG?
Hello @Giselle Ng
As mentioned by Joseph, there is currently no data residency option for Atlassian Cloud products in Singapore.
Our company has recently released the "Confidential Fields with Data Residency for Jira" app. In addition to the benefit of being able to set permission for the fields created with this app, it is also possible to set a data residency for saved values and data.
In addition to the Jira Data Residency options, we currently offer data hosting in Switzerland. If there is enough interest, it would be possible to set up a DR in Singapore. This would allow your Jira users to protect sensitive data in these Confidential Fields with Singapore location.
Unfortunately, there is still a limitation in that the created fields cannot be displayed in the JSM helpdesk portal. Please vote for this ticket here, so that Atlassian will allow this as soon as possible and then all use cases can be covered with our app.
If you have any questions about our app, please feel free to contact us here.
Best regards
Mattia
Welcome to the community. At this time, there is no SG location based on my understanding. I believe the closest DR for SG will be in Australia.
Please refer to the following link to keep up with Atlassian's roadmap on this topic:
https://www.atlassian.com/software/data-residency
https://www.atlassian.com/roadmap/cloud?category=dataManagement& (Cloud Roadmap) where you can see a few new DR locations in Q1-Q2 2023
https://support.atlassian.com/security-and-access-policies/docs/understand-data-residency/
Forgot to mention that one cannot choose DR against Free plan option.
Hope this helps.
Best, Joseph Chung Yin
