Jira Sever -Exporting Issues into Excel spreadsheet format

Hello,

Checking to see if there is a easy way to format issues exported to an excel spreadsheet without add-ons or plug-ins for Jira Sever.

We would like to exclude certain fields and apply correct titles for Custom Fields.

We are using "Jira Cloud for Sheets", which is a plugin to pull tickets from Jira (Service Management) - based on a filter or query - into a Google sheet.  According to me this works pretty well.  The same solution exists for Excel: Jira Cloud for Excel (official) | Atlassian Marketplace.

Thank you this is for Jira Server not Cloud, I was hoping it was a solutions other than plugin.  However thanks again for the feedback.. ;)

In our case (Jira Cloud for Google Sheets) is only for cloud instances, and the plugin is for Google Sheets, not for jira.

Hi @lapacquah.bryant,

I understand that you would prefer to not use add-ons here, but I'm afraid that apart from Jira's basic export capability (as available under https://<your-jira-URL>/issues), you can really only use Jira's REST API to query data and do your own post-processing.

To get some more context: What's the specific reason you don't want to use add-ons? E.g., is this about costs, or compliance, or because app sales have ended for Jira Server? Or something completely different? I'm pretty sure we can find a way forward either way.

Thank you for the update, we are not able to use add-ons at the moment.  We just did export and manually updated excel spreadsheet as needed.
