Jira automation workflow to automate the task item

Hi all,

Want to automate the Task, so whenever i will create the task in my Kanban board then specific child  work items will be created. Can anyone help me with  automation tool

Good day, welcome to Atlassian Community

If you want to create child tickets every time a Task is created Automation for Jira is best for you.

(To use Automation for Jira, you either need to be project admin or Jira Global Admin)

Automation Rule:

Trigger: When issue is created

Condition: Issue type equals Task (you can add others if you have any)

Action: Create Subtask (Add Summary name, as per requirements), you can add multiple subtasks as well.

@Akhand Pratap Singh described a good way to do this. As FYI, there are many templates in the Jira Automation Playground that are very helpful, and one of them is called "Auto-create sub-tasks" under the Most Popular automations.
