Hi all,
I would like to know if there is a way of making Fields of a form (which are mandatory) appear automatically in the Description box, so that team members can see a summary of the mandatory fields & add further context if needed?
Thank you,
Claudio
Unfortunately, it is not possible based on my understanding/experience of using FORMs. For each FORMs field, one can map it to the actual Jira/JSM field (i.e. Description field). However, you can map multiple FORMs fields into the same Jira/JSM field.
The best way I can recommend you to map your mandatory FORMs fields to different Jira/JSM issue fields (i.e. Description, new paragraph or single line text custom fields), so they can be displayed against the issue once it is created for team members to see them in the project issue UI.
Hope this helps.

Just to add to @Joseph Chung Yin answer, once the Forms API is released you will be able to do this, it has an endpoint that can get the answers in a flattened list. Currently the API is scheduled to be released in Q1 2024 based on the public roadmap.

You can configure an automation rule and add all required information from the form to the description, but it can be a little bit tricky for now.
Please, look at this post: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Service-Management-articles/Reading-a-Forms-ProForma-field-value-without-the-JSON-tab/ba-p/2097012
