Hi everyone, I have an issue which has started a day or two ago, and I can't seem to find out why this is happening. I have not made any changes to this specific project that is faulty. IT was working as intended before.
My company's website has a direct link to one of my SD project's customer portal. (/servicedesk/customer/portal/4)
My customers can see the home portal, but when they try to navigate between the groups and the requests, jira is redirecting them to another portal, (/servicedesk/customer/portal/0) and then my customers get an error message (The Service Desk you are trying to view does not exist).
- Customer permissions are correctly configured
- I am in the "jira-administrators" group and I can navigate normally. I don't get redirected to the /0/ portal.
- If I manually add them to the "jira-administrators" group, they are able to navigate the portal normally;
- I have "Extension for Jira Service Desk" but I have no group-specific rules configured for this project - or no rules whatsoever;
- Permission scheme is the same used in another project that is working just fine;
So far you would think, it must be something about permissions. I would agree with that, but then, the following fact wasn't supposed to work:
- If I give them a direct link to the request, they can open the form and submit a request normally; (/servicedesk/customer/portal/4/create/475)
- If they try to click on the request by themselves from the main portal, they get redirected to (/servicedesk/customer/portal/0/create/475) , getting an error message
---
Worth mentioning, this company hasn't done a reindex for quite some time. We have some heavy change management here, so it's kind of bureaucratic to perform a reindexation.
Hi Renan,
I am facing the same issue currently with JIRA 8.5.1 and ServiceDesk 4.5.1.
Only a couple of Portals are having this issue.
Did you find a solution for this?

OK, I just checked your hint regarding "Extensions for Jira ServiceDesk" and it seems that this addon is somehow doing the forwarding. By disabling it, it worked again. So I checked the permissions and they where fine. However I re-entered the visibilty permission and now this works too. From my point of view the permission index from "Extensions for Jira ServiceDesk" had an issue.
Cheers,
Matthias
