Notification of issue status changes in Slack

We use Jira and Slack and I would like to know if it is possible to notify in a Slack channel or to the assignee about the status change that the assignee is responsible for. Is it possible?

By using an automation rule you should be able to do this.

Using the when issue transitioned, then the action is send a slack message.

Assuming you ill need to tighten this to you scope.
