Organizations : Ticket shared but default setting off.

One of the team updated everybodies profile to include the company name in the organization field, having already checked that

Should new requests automatically be shared with a customer's organization?

was set to No

However, a ticket got created post the change, and it was shared with the organization.

The ticket was logged by IT, the agent swears blind he didnt share it.

There is nothing in the ALL audit list on the ticket to show that organizations was changed.

Is there anywhere else I can look to see what/how the organization field on an issue was set?

Thanks

Interesting case @Myles Boyd .

From my experience, if you don't have anything in the audit log or in item history, that would mean that all those fields with values have been set during item/ticket creation.

Has this appeared only once, or have people reported other cases as well?

Also, as you set this option to "No", have you checked which sharing option is set by default when you try to create a new ticket?
You could add yourself to at least one organization and see which option will be set by default. 👀

Potentially, Atlassian Support could see additional information such as if this value was set during creation, but I've never tried asking them if that's possible 🤷‍♂️

Cheers,
Tobi
