Possible to write historical approvals to JSM Change records via REST API calls?

I'm need to write historical approvals to Change records that I'm copying over from a different ITSM system.  I don't see any REST API calls to write Approvals to the Change records in JSM.  I only see calls to add comments and work logs.  Am I missing something or does that capability just not exist?  Thanks!

If I'm understanding your question correctly, you want to append approval data to Jira's change history via API? This is currently not possible via API, the only way to append data to the change history is to import the issues using JSON import.
