ProForma Forms Identifiers are undefined or dynamically generated

Christian Mecono February 25, 2025

Hi,

We have an automation that accesses raw ProForma form data (standard forms only) and uses it to pass through a condition to perform actions.

We use this smart value to retrieve the data:
{{issue.properties."proforma.forms.XX".state.answers.YY.text}}

However, we recently discovered that the automation is failing because the form identifier is either undefined or dynamically generated.

Changes every time the form is attached to an issue

We substitute the highlighted value on XX.

Is there any other way to get the ProForma data consistently?

Hello! You might find some answers here:

Access smart values for forms and form fields

and on this video.

Hello!

Tried this, but still unable to get the value.

Already changed the field key

Previously, here's how we determine what user selected. If "On stock" is selected, then this condition will be true.

Hi! It is now resolved.

It was not working due to the form still uses Proforma data structure format. Had to add another field, save, and then revert to the original to update the form structure.
