Problems with adding DNS records to CloudFlare

Marc March 4, 2023

Hi everyone,

After some complaints from our customers receiving our JIRA Service Management notifications in their SPAM folder, we decided to send them through our custom domain. After adding our domain we have to add the following:

  • 3x CNAME records
  • 1x TXT record

We have added all 4 records to our domain with 1 day TTL. Unfortunately we can't verify and admin.atlassian.com keeps saying that the CNAME records values can not be found at my domain provider. However the TXT record was found and is green.

We have been trying to fix this for days, does anyone have a solution for this? Help is much appreciated.

P.S. No we do not have CloudFlare proxy enabled for the 4 records provided by Atlassian :)

For some weird reason it just popped green... didn't do anything - this took 1 week and now all of a sudden it is green.

Hi members,

We have the same issue. We are trying to add the records into our DNS zone by copy/paste the name and record values provided by Atlassian.

The first problem is that there is a dot at the end of the 3 cname record values and this is not valid when we are trying to add the record into our DNS zone.

If we create the record by deleting the final dot, the record can be created into the DNS zone but the Atlassian check at the end fails.

Regards
