Hi all,
I'm trying to create the ability to reopen closed tasks. It seems I can't do this while the workflow is currently active. This workflow is currently attached to just one project.
Can someone give me the step by step on the best way to make this happen?
Thank you.

You can simply just create a new transition from "CLOSED" back to "OPEN" (Your open status in your WF), then publish the change. You will also need to ensure the Resolution field is clear via post-function of the new transition.
In your case, the only time you cannot do the WF modification is when you are trying to delete an existing status from the WF (where there are issues associated to the status).
Hope this helps.

I do not believe this to be the case. You can not create transitions from statuses without any current outgoing transition on a workflow that is "Live".

Sure you can. One can modify any existing Live WF by creating new statuses.
Don't understand your statement in your reply.

@Joseph Chung Yin , actually this is a known limitation and why I suggested making a copy of the current WF.

Thanks Jack for your reply. I didn't know this is a known limitation. Is this a limitation only for the CLOUD env?.
As confirmed by Jack, I would recommend his recommendation.
