Assist Bot allows the ability for users to turn their posts into Service requests through the bot.
Problem is though, the Post description is added to the Jira Ticket summary instead of the actual summary.
How do we make it so that the Assist Bot add the Posts description to the Ticket description?
Hi @David Mann ,
When you say
...the Post description is added to the Jira Ticket summary instead of the actual summary.
what do you mean by "post description"? Can you provide some example(s) or references just to get a bit more sense of what exactly the issue is?
There are some known limitations when it comes to the Assist bot—you might want to check them out here.
Cheers,
Tobi
I mean it doesn't add it as a description when you raise a ticket using assist bot.
It moves the Post "Description" into the "Summary" of the Raised Ticket, and the "Description" box is empty.

Ah, got it @David Mann
Thanks for the screenshots! (and apologies for delayed answer)
This appears to be known limitation of this integration: JSDCLOUD-12398: Ability to set if the reacted message becomes the issue summary or description
As stated in the workaround section of linked suggestion, you could use something like this as a workaround: Create a ticket via JSM Chat and set the original message from Slack/Teams as the description

I've looked at that and already commented the reason why it doesn't work.
